ALHYDRAN SPF 30 is hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and suitable for all skin types. It is the same trusted medical cream as regular ALHYDRAN, with added sun protection for healing skin and scars.
The first step in scar care is keeping the skin well hydrated. When the skin barrier is damaged, it loses moisture more easily (a process known as TEWL – trans epidermal water loss). ALHYDRAN helps reduce this moisture loss and keeps the skin hydrated and comfortable.
The second important step is protecting the skin from UV rays, as sun exposure can slow healing and make scars more noticeable. ALHYDRAN SPF 30 combines both hydration and sun protection to support healthy skin recovery.
NOTE: Do not expose open wounds, fresh scars, or recently treated skin to direct sunlight. Wait until the skin has closed and begin using ALHYDRAN SPF 30 as part of your aftercare routine.

After a melanoma was removed and later an additional piece of skin through a re-excision, I was left with quite a bare spot on my head where the surgeon placed a skin graft taken from my upper leg. To take proper care of this area, I looked for a good product WITH SPF.
Alhydran SPF 30 is an excellent product. It cares well for the graft site and provides protection against the sun. (Because I sometimes forget to put on my cap, it gives me that extra protection.)
How to apply
- Apply well in advance before going out in the sun
- Apply generously to ensure effective sun protection
- Reapply every 2 hours, especially after swimming, sweating or towel drying
Ingredients
The main active ingredient in ALHYDRAN SPF 30 is freshly processed Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera gel from Aruba). This ingredient gives the cream its strong moisturising and skin-soothing effect, making it highly suitable for vulnerable or healing skin.
Unlike many products that use freeze-dried Aloe Vera, ALHYDRAN uses Aloe that is freshly processed straight after harvesting. This method helps preserve the full range of natural, active components. Freeze-drying may be more cost-effective, but it reduces the effectiveness of the final product.
By using fresh Aloe, ALHYDRAN provides deeper, longer-lasting hydration and helps protect the skin’s natural barrier more effectively than creams made with freeze-dried alternatives.
The other ingredients of the ALHYDRAN product line contain a high level of high-end natural oils and antioxidants, which further contribute to the unique and long lasting moisturising characteristics of the product.
